Multi-Cloud Network FAQs
What is a multi-cloud network?
A multi-cloud network is the connectivity layer that links an organization’s sites, data centers, and multiple cloud providers into one secure, high-performance network instead of isolated connections.
What is Dedicated Internet Access (DIA)?
DIA is an internet connection reserved entirely for one organization, with guaranteed bandwidth in both directions. Unlike shared broadband, speeds don’t fluctuate based on other users’ activity.
What is a point-to-point (P2P) connection?
A point-to-point connection is a private, dedicated link between two locations, such as an office and a data center. It offers consistent performance and keeps traffic off the public internet.
What is DDoS mitigation and why is it needed?
DDoS mitigation detects and filters malicious traffic floods designed to overwhelm a network or website. Without it, an attack can take applications offline for hours or days.
What are jumbo frames and Q-in-Q support?
Jumbo frames carry more data per packet, improving efficiency for large transfers. Q-in-Q allows multiple VLAN tags on one circuit, useful for carrying several separate networks over a single link.
